Ciesielski Becomes First Catholic Football Landmark Senior Scholar-Athlete

| By:
TOWSON, Md.  — Catholic football's senior offensive linemen Ben Ciesielski was named the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete, it was announced today. He became the first player in program history to earn the award since the Cardinals joined the Landmark in 2023.

Ciesielski has been a steady presence on the offensive line for the Cardinals over the past two seasons, starting all 10 games in both seasons, primarily playing at left tackle. He was recently named an All-Landmark Second Team selection for the second consecutive season, making him the first player for the program to earn two Landmark Second Team honors.

A biology major, Ciesielski boasts an impressive 3.96 resume and has racked up multiple academic accolades during his time as a student. Last season, he earned CSC Academic All-District and is in line to do so again this semester, in addition to being on the Landmark Fall Academic Honor Roll twice. He is a Dean's List with distinction student and is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Psi Chi honor societies.

Ciesielski's commitment to service has made a strong impact on the communities around him. His involvement includes work with Nickel City Canine Rescue, participation in Catholic University's Mother Teresa Day of Service and Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, and giving back to young athletes as an Orchard Park Volunteer Varsity Football Coach.
