TOWSON, Md. – The Catholic field hockey team traveled to Towson, Md. to take on Goucher in their second conference matchup of the season where the Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Gophers.
In the 1st quarter, the Cardinals earned a pair of penalty corners, but were unable to convert, leaving the first quarter scoreless.
 Goucher found its first goal late in the 2nd quarter from Madison Zubo.Â
The Gopher's second goal occurred in the 42nd minute, once again by Zubo. Catholic earned itself a penalty stroke opportunity late in the 3rd quarter, but the attempt from
Lauren Keast was saved by Goucher's Katie Bloom.Â
Catholic earned 4 of their 10 penalty corners during the 4th quarter, but the Cardinals were not able to find the back of the cage.
