Wolfe Runs Program's Fourth-Best Performance at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Catholic men's cross country team competed at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh on Friday morning and afternoon.

Joe Wolfe had the best performance overall on the day for the Cardinals, finishing in the 100 in a field of 407 runners in. Wolfe clocked in at a PR time of 25:42.7, making him the fourth-best performer in the 8K in program history. His time was also the fourth-fastest overall performance in program history. 

Joey Locke came in behind Wolfe, clocking in at a PR time of 26:26.5, 11 seconds better than his previous PR. Locke's time made him the 11th-best performer in program history. Tim Sweeney was the next best runner for Catholic, competing in the 8K for the first time with a time of 26:55.2, making him the 16th best performer in program history. 

In the men's open 8K, Richard Harrington had the best finish for the Cardinals, clocking in at 26:59.6 for a PR time. His time was nearly 11 seconds faster than his previous PR, and the first time in his collegiate career that he came in under 27 minutes. Joshua Leon was the next Catholic finisher and also set a new PR with a time of 27:49.3. 

Matt Haugh ran the 8K for the first time in his collegiate career and clocked in at 29:26.1 as well as Matthew McCormack who finished at 31:24.5.
