STAFFORD, Va. - Lauren Wright finished fourth and Avery Mrak finished in a tie for fifth to lead the Catholic women's golf team at the Augustine Invitational.
Wright finished fourth after a second-round 78 to end the tournament with a score of +23. Mrak shot an 83 on Saturday to finish in a tie for fifth at +27.
The Cardinals finished second as a team with a score of +129. York (Pa.) won the tournament with a team score of +74. Catholic was 13 shots better on Saturday with a score of +58.
Brooke Smith finished 11th at +33 while Annie Wright finished 18th at +46. Tyler Zierski finished in a tie for 13th while competing as an individual with a score of +38.
Catholic will travel to New York to compete in the Martin & Wallace Invitational on April 15 and 16.
