PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Catholic University women's rowing team competed in the largest collegiate regatta in the United States, the Dad Vail, on Friday on the Schuylkill River.
In race 37, Catholic's varsity four competed against Embry-Riddle, FIT and Washington College, finishing fourth with a time of 8:15.43.
The varsity eight competed against Byrn Mawr, Simmons and St. Mary's (Md.) in race 48, crossing the line fourth with a time of 7:47.72. They also competed in race 80 against Cabrini, FIT, Jefferson, Merchant Marine and MSOE, finishing sixth with a time of 8:35.98.
Tomorrow, the varsity eight will compete against Marietta, St. Mary's (Md.) and Washington College. Start time is set for 8:30 a.m.
The varsity four will compete at 9:48 a.m. Bryn Mawr, Cabrini, Franklin and Marshall, Merchant Marine and Washington College will contest that race.
