Mountcastle and Cardinal Coaching Staff Earn CRCA/Pocock Honors

| By:
WILMINGTON, Del. - Anne Mountcastle of the Catholic women's rowing program earned a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-American Award, it was announced last week. The Cardinal coaching staff also received recognition after a historic 2025-26 campaign.

The CRCA All-American Awards, presented by Pocock, recognize the most outstanding collegiate rowers and coxswains across all NCAA divisions and the lightweight category. These athletes have demonstrated elite athletic performance, leadership, consistency, and dedication throughout the season, earning distinction among the top rowers in the nation.

This prestigious recognition honors athletes who have contributed significantly to their teams while meeting high standards in competition and training. The All-American teams also serve as the foundation for the selection of Athlete of the Year Finalists—with one ultimate Athlete of the Year selected from each division.

Mountcastle was placed on the CRCA/Pocock All-American Second Team, marking the second All-American honor of her career. Earlier this season, she earned a First-Team All-MARC nod, the third First Team honor of her career. Mountcastle's leadership guided the Cardinals as they captured the conference title this season.

The accolades continued for the Catholic University women's rowing program, as the coaching staff was recognized as the CRCA/Pocock D3 Mid-Atlantic Regional Staff of the Year. The CRCA Coach and Staff of the Year Awards honor the exceptional leaders behind the success of collegiate rowing programs across all NCAA divisions and the lightweight category.

Head coach Katie O'Driscoll was also named D3 Mid-Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year. O'Driscoll recently completed her eighth season at the helm of the program.
