CHERRY HILL, N.J. -  The Catholic University women's rowing team competed in the Knecht Cup on Saturday at the Cooper River.
Competing against Ithaca, Stockton, Cabrini and Lafayette, the Cardinals' varsity four came in fourth place in Heat 2 of the DIII with a time of 9:19.30. Ithaca finished first as it crossed the line in 8:39.62. With the time, the varsity four qualified for the finals on Sunday.
Catholic's varsity eight A boat placed second in Heat 2 with a time of 7:47.59 while Bryn Mawr finished first in 7:20.42. With the time, the Cardinals qualified in the fourth spot and will compete in the petite final.
The varsity eight B boat crossed the finish line in 9:00.26.
The Cardinals will conclude the Knecht Cup on Sunday in the event finals, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
