LEXINGTON, Va. – Catholic sophomore Lauren Lombardo followed up yesterday's 80 with an 84 to place in the top 10 at the Knights Invitational. Lombardo's total score of 20-over-par placed her eighth for the tournament individually.
The Cardinals placed third at the event, finishing seven shots back of Bridgewater for second. Southern Virginia won its home tournament with an overall score of +84.
Catholic placed four players in the top 20 with freshman Brooke Smith (11th), sophomore Avery Mrak (t-14th), and freshman Lauren Wright (t-18th) all joining Lombardo.
Catholic will compete in the Cardinal Fall Classic at Black Rock Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday.
