Box Score MADISON, N.J. — The Catholic University women's soccer team held Drew to a scoreless draw on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman goalkeeper Ava Rieger made nine saves in the stalemate, earning her first career clean sheet.
Freshman Teighan Boyle played the entire 90 minutes at center back and was pivotal in the defensive performance. She was quickest to react to a loose ball in the Cardinal penalty area with about 90 second remaining in the match, completing a vital clearance after Rieger had come off her line to make a save.
Sam Cesario and Brienna Spano also played the entire match in defense while Alexa Adelmann and Lauren Cerda logged the full 90 minutes in midfield roles.
Junior Jordan Siok looked the most dangerous going forward, taking four total shots and putting two on target, both team-highs for Catholic.
The Cardinals will enjoy a full week to prepare for their next match against Juniata. The Eagles will travel to Carlini Field on Oct. 8 for Senior Day, with kickoff slated for 4 p.m.
