MOOSIC, Pa. — The Catholic University women's golf team triumphed at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview at Glenmaura National Golf Club on Saturday.
Lauren Lombardo led the way for the Cardinals with a 78 (+7) as Catholic shot a 351 to beat Drew by 14 strokes.
None of Catholic's five entries placed lower than 11th in what was a dominant and balanced team performance. Brooke Smith carded an 87 to finish sixth while Avery Mrak shot a 91 to place seventh.
Annie Wright produced a 95 to claim a share of ninth while Lauren Wright finished one stroke behind her counterpart to finish 11th.
This marks Catholic's second-straight tournament victory after the team took home a win at the Stevenson Fall Invitational just six days ago.
The Cardinals will enjoy eight days off before they look to continue their momentum at the Southern Virginia Knight Invitational. The two-day tournament at the Lexington Country Club will be contested on Oct. 10-11.
