WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Catholic University men's swimming and diving team defeated Randolph-Macon, 163-87, Saturday at DuFour Center pool.
The Cardinals were led by sophomore Nathan Ober, who swam to victory in the 50-yard freestyle (21.91) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:13.38). Ober was also a part of the 400-yard medley relay team that took home first place with a time of 3:40.83.
Senior Lenny Brown also claimed two individual victories, winning the 200 free (1:50.88) and the 500 free (5:10.33).
Junior Ellis Prescott swam to an impressive victory in the 1000 free, finishing with a time of 10:20.68, more than 25 seconds faster than 2nd place. He also swam away from the field in the 400 individual medley, winning with a time of 4:22.01.
Freshman Jackson Hicks won the 100 free (50.09) while sophomore Jack Hufner claimed victory in the 200 back (2:01.49). Both also swam on the victorious 400 medley relay team.
The Cardinals are back in action next Saturday, Jan. 29 when they welcome Division I Howard to DuFour Center pool on Senior Day. The meet will begin at 1 p.m., and will be preceded by Senior Day activities. The event will be open to spectators with valid proof of vaccination.
