The Cardinals (0-1) fell for the first time under first-year head coach Casey Sommers who was named the 10th head coach in program history on March 20, 2020.
McDaniel scored two goals in the first 25 minutes, netting the game-winner at 7:23 before adding a second at 24:09.
Kryzwicki faced nine first-half shots and made two saves before giving way to senior Marykate Stack made one stop in the second.
The Green Terror (1-0) capped the scoring with their third goal in the 48th minute as Hannah Schepers picked up her third point on an assist.
McDaniel outshot the Cardinals, 19-11, and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Catholic begins a three-game road trip on Saturday at Virginia Wesleyan. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
