WASHINGTON, D.C.- Led by three wins from reigning Landmark Athlete of the Week Ellis Prescott, the Catholic University men's swim team defeated Goucher, 215-17, on Saturday.
Prescott picked up his first win in the 200 yard medley relay with teammates senior Joshua Roberts, sophomore Nathan Ober and freshman Jackson Hicks for a time of 1:39.62. The junior placed first in the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly races with times of 1:48.11 and 56.54, respectively.
Ober also earned gold in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.91. Fellow sophomore Elijah Feret dominated the 1000 yard freestyle, beating the field by over 12 seconds with a time of 11:21.03.
Senior Jeffrey Schriefer-Flores placed first in the 200 yard backstroke with a 2:03.64 before grouping up with sophomore Danny O'Leary and freshmen Joseph Loel and Michael Coppola to take gold in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
Senior Alex Farley dominated the breaststroke, finishing in first place in both the 100 and 200 yard races. The senior finished in 1:03.66 and 2:27.03, respectively.
The Cardinals (2-1) will return to the pool Saturday, Nov. 20 when they travel to Elizabethtown for a 1 p.m. start.
