Cardinals Drop Conference Contest at Elizabethtown, 3-0

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Catholic University women's soccer freshman Maeve Graham made three saves as the Cardinals fell to Elizabethtown on the road Saturday, 3-0.

Catholic (4-5-1, 0-2-0 LC) lost for the just the second time in the last five games and for the first time in six all-time meetings against the Blue Jays.

Graham recorded two saves in the first half as the two teams battled to a scoreless draw despite Elizabethtown outshooting the Cardinals, 9-3.

The Blue Jays ((5-4-1, 2-0-0 LC) finally broke the drought in the 57th minite on a goal from Janelle Barna.

Gabrielle Brown doubled Elizabethtown's lead just 11 minutes later before the Blue Jays added an insurance tally in the 77th minute.

Freshman Savannah Hensley had two of Catholic's four shots in the second half as Elizabethtown held a 17-7 margin in the game.

The Cardinals wrap-up non-conference play on Wednesday when they travel to Marymount (Va.) for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff at Long Bridge Park.
