Box Score Bradenton, Fla. – Playing in a neutral site game down in Florida at the IMG Academy, The Catholic University of America men's lacrosse team was edged in overtime against Eastern, 9-8, despite a furious fourth quarter comeback.
CUA trailed 7-4 late in the third quarter, but the Cardinals rallied to score four in the final 17 minutes to force overtime. Junior midfielder Dylan Neville scored two goals in the fourth quarter, including the game-tying score with just 13 seconds left.
Unfortunately, it was Eastern who came away with the win as the Eagles scored with just 3:33 left in the period to take victory.
Senior goalkeeper Harrison Holak posted a career-best 25 saves against Eastern, facing 46 shots by the Eagles.
Neville was joined by juniors Tim Keith and Ethan Rodriguez with two goals each.
The Cardinals return to D.C., this weekend, taking on Stockton on Saturday at 3 p.m.
