Box Score WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America women's soccer moves to 3-1 in the Landmark Conference, 10-1-0 overall, after topping Goucher College 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Cardinal's lone goal was recorded by the team and conference's leading goal scorer, senior Lindsay Aleman early in the first half. Aleman has notched a goal in seven consecutive games and has moved to the top of Catholic women's soccer all-time point scorers list, passing Laura Kaye '05 (117) with 118 career points.
Junior Kate Thompson tallied her first career assist, sending the ball to Aleman's feet in the 18th-minute and guiding Catholic to its fourth straight victory.
The Cardinals outshot the Gophers 16-3 in the conference showdown with freshman Elizabeth Johnson taking four. Junior Ally Marcello started in goal for the Cards, making one save, while sophomore Christina Peyroux finished out the final 45 minutes, save two.
The Cardinal's continue their Landmark Conference tour on the road, battling Moravian College on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 4:30 p.m.
