Box Score WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America field hockey team stayed perfect in Landmark Conference play on Saturday afternoon as the Cardinals posted a road shutout at Juniata, 1-0.
The scoreless game continued into the final seven minutes as junior Marisa Martinelli scored the gamewinner at 64:38 to send the Cards home winners. Catholic improves to 6-2 overall.
The Cardinals held a slight shot advantage in the game, 6-4, with five coming in the second half. They also totaled five penalty corners to Juniata's three.
Senior goalkeeper Analisa Scott was strong in the cage, registering her first shutout of the year. Scott made three saves in the game, two coming in the second half.
Catholic returns to action this Wednesday at No. 4 Salisbury with gametime set for 6 p.m.
