Box Score WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America women's soccer team finished out the 2015 regular season with a 2-1 victory over Juniata College and an undefeated record in Landmark Conference play. The Cardinals wrap up the regular season with a 14-2 record while the Eagles finish 5-9-1, 1-6.
The Landmark Conference leading goal scorer junior Lindsay Aleman notched the Cards first goal with an unassisted shot in the 30th minute. The Cards held the 1-0 lead through the halftime break and scored and insurance goal in the 59th minute. The second CUA goal came off the foot of the teams' top scoring freshman, Taylor Pisk, assisted by Aleman.
Juniata cut the Catholic lead in half with a goal in the 74th minute but came up one goal shy as the clock reached 90 minutes.
Catholic outshot Juniata 13-2 as Pisk guided the offense with three shots during the competition, putting them all on target. Senior Lexi Halperin earned her 14th win of the 2015 season.
As the Landmark No. 1 seed the Cardinals will host the No. 4 Moravian College Greyhounds at CUA Soccer Field for the semifinal match on Wednesday, November 4.
