WASHINGTON – The Catholic University baseball team wrapped up its three-site road stand with a 24-0 loss to the Eagles of Bridgewater (Va.) on Wednesday. 

CUA tallied six hits, seven strikeouts and three walks on 30 at bats.  Wyatt Schmidt, Andrew Stewart, Eric Scamardell, Scott Grinnan, Mike McFarland and Brendan Breslin each notched a single run.

Chris Hutton recorded the loss by allowing seven hits and five runs against eight batters in 0.1 innings.

Catholic returns home to host Merchant Marine with a doubleheader on Friday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and a single game on Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m.  Head coach Ross Natoli will honor the members of his senior class prior to Saturday's contest.
