WASHINGTON – After 110 minutes of play The Catholic University of America women's soccer team recorded the third tie of the season with a 1-1 draw against Landmark Conference opponent Juniata College on Saturday.

The contest concludes regular season action and gives Catholic an overall record of 13-1-3 and 6-0-1 in the conference. The tie moves Juniata to 5-9-3 for the season and 1-4-2 in the league.

The Eagles managed to get on the board in the 16th minute, when Michaela Lacek beat out the Cardinal defense alone and put one past Lexi Halperin. The shot was the Eagles first and only shot of the half.

Kirsten Wosleger continued her scoring streak when she put one in the net in the 30th minute. From just inside the 6-yard box Nia Gomez crossed the ball in front of the goal mouth for Wosleger to send it into the goal.

The scoreboard read 1-1 going into halftime and remained the same through the second half and at the end of two overtime periods.

Catholic dominated possession and out shot Juniata 36-6 throughout the game. With the tremendous efforts of the Juniata goalkeeper Kerry Leonard, who made 21 saves, the Eagles' defense held the Cardinals to the lone goal.

Wosleger led the Cards by firing nine shots, while Andrea Jablonskyj took six and Lindsay Aleman went for five. The Eagles took three shots on goal with Halperin making two saves.

The Cardinals will host Drew College at home on Tuesday, November 4 for the semifinal round of the Landmark Conference Championship Tournament. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. on the CUA Soccer Field in Washington, D.C.
