Box Score 2 Lynchburg, Va. - The Catholic University of America women's volleyball team concluded the Lynchburg Tri-Match with a four-set win over Shenandoah and a three set loss to Lynchburg.
With the victory and defeat, the Cardinals are now 21-11 on the year (1-6 in Landmark action).
In the 27-25, 26-24, 15-25, 25-22 win, Mary Paige Nesfeder guided the Cardinals with 19 kills. Maria Juelle and Kathryn Herrington also contributed double-figure kill numbers to win with 13 kills and 10 kills, respectively. Michelle Seals led the assist category with 48 distributions. Juelle topped the Cards in service aces with two. Michelle Bouchard gathered 18 digs, while Herrington assisted on four blocks.
The 25-10, 25-11, 25-14 los to Lynchburg consisted of a mere four kills from Nesfeder and Tara Rempel. Seals circulated 12 assists. Bouchard collected 10 digs and Herrington tallied two block assists.
Catholic rounds out the month of October with a 7 p.m. match against cross-town foe Gallaudet on Wednesday, October 29 at Hughes Gym on the GU campus.
CUA then wraps up the season by hosting the CUA Tri-match, featuring the Cardinals, Bridgewater (Va.) and Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, November 1.
