56-seconds of the game. Rebecca Lukaszcyk assisted Hermann to
take a 1-0 lead. Exactly 11 minutes later, Colleen Harwood
assisted Taylor
Elliott on her fourth goal of the year at the 11:56 mark
for a 2-0 Catholic lead.
CNU scored their first goal at the 31:09 mark. Belle
Tunstall entered in the penalty corner. Tunstall closed out
the play with a goal, which Marlene Lichty assisted on.
The Cards concluded the first half with a 2-1 lead.
Christopher Newport evened the playing field on a goal by Lauren
Cheatham, Tunstall assisted on the goal.
CNU took the lead in the final two minutes of play, as Tunstall
assisted on her second goal of the night scored by Marlene
Lichty.
With a matter of second remaining in the contest, Kiera McGovern looked
to send the squad into overtime from a penalty corner.
Unfortunately, McGovern's shot was wide and Cardinals suffered
their third consecutive loss.
