Megan McLean joined the Catholic women's basketball program in July of 2024 as the program's Jamie L. Roberts Endowed Assistant Coach.
In McLean's first season with the program, Catholic posted a 24-5 record, reaching the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team, and being selected as a host site for the opening weekend. Catholic reached as high as number 15 in the D3hoops rankings in 2024-25, winning 15 Landmark Conference games and reaching the Landmark Championship game. The 2024-25 Cardinals qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time in program history.
McLean has been named the Jamie L. Roberts Endowed Assistant Coach after serving as an assistant at Maine Maritime since 2019. Maine Maritime won back-to-back conference championships in 2022-23 and 2023-24 with McLean on staff as the program posted an unbeaten record in the NAC in '23-24. Working primarily with the team's guards, McLean helped develop more than 20 All-NAC selections during her time as an assistant.
A four-year player at Maine Maritime before transitioning to a coaching role, McLean was a three-time captain, the Mariners Athletics Female Leader of the Year, and a single-season record holder for free-throw percentage. Starting in 2021, she also held a position in the Athletic Communications office, helping with marketing, game day operations, and website management.
