Steven Anderson

Steven Anderson enters his first season on the Cardinals football staff as Offensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

Anderson brings a total of eight seasons of coaching experience to Catholic University. He is a Philadelphia native who began his coaching career at Saints Neumann and Goretti High School in South Philadelphia. At N-G, Anderson was part of a program rebuild that culminated with the Saints winning the PCL AA division and PIAA AA district championships. Anderson coached six All-Catholic linemen selections at Neumann-Goretti.

Anderson earned a B.S. degree from Temple University in Sport and Recreation Management. He served the football program on two occasions - first as an operations volunteer then as a senior recruiting intern/student assistant.

From Temple, Anderson moved to Mansfield University where he was the Defensive Line Coach and Social Media Coordinator for the Mountaineers program. He then coached the defensive line at Saint Vincent College, mentoring an All-PAC selection at defensive tackle. 

Anderson earned a M.Ed degree from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Anderson was the Graduate Assistant Defensive Line Coach and Video Coordinator for the Golden Bears. Kutztown compiled a total record of 17-5 over his two seasons with the program, including a 2018 NCAA DII Playoff appearance. Anderson helped mentor two All-PSAC East selections during his Kutztown tenure in addition to assisting with the development of several future All-PSAC East performers.

Anderson arrives to Catholic from the University of Pittsburgh where he worked as an Academic Coordinator on the Office of the Provost's Student Success Team. Prior to Pitt, Anderson was a Student-Athlete Advisor at the University of Maryland. He got his start in student success as an Academic Advisor of Pittsburgh's Swanson School of Engineering.
