James Caramanico

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
A three-year starter and four-year member of the Catholic football program, James Caramanico will remain at Catholic as the program's graduate assistant coach in 2025.

A native of Raleigh, N.C., Caramanico started at guard in each of the past three seasons and saw game action in almost every game of his Catholic career. The program has finished .500 or better in all four seasons Caramanico spent on the roster, posting an overall record of 22-19. The Cardinals recorded records of 6-4 and 6-5 in 2021 and 2022 as members of the NEWMAC before going 5-5 in each of the first two seasons in the Landmark Conference.

Caramanico helped protect starting quarterbacks Madden Lowe and Nico Casares in 2022 as the duo led Catholic to the top passing offense in the conference. He also helped protect Lowe's 2023 season as he was named All-Landmark Honorable Mention. The guard also helped pave the way for Daequan Harvin's program record rushing day as he totaled 242 yards against Keystone in 2024.Â
