WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Catholic women's soccer head coach Casey Sommers has revealed her program's opponents for the 2026 season. The Cardinals are coming off an 11-7-3 season where they reached the Landmark Conference championship game for the second time in the past three seasons. 

The Cardinals lost just one game in Landmark play last season going 6-1-2 and picked up victories over Drew (3-0) and Lycoming (1-0) to advance to the conference championship. Catholic will play four NCAA tournament teams from a season ago in Bridgewater, Christopher Newport, Johns Hopkins and Scranton.

The season kicks off for Catholic on September 1 when they hit the road to take on Johns Hopkins at Homewood Field at 7 pm. The Cardinals will remain on the road for the first week when they play Rutgers-Camden on September 5 before the home-opener on September 9 against Bridgewater. 

The Cardinals continue on with a stretch of three games at home out of four versus Widener (Sept. 12), Shenandoah (Sept. 19) and St. Mary's (Md.) (Sept. 23) with the one road game coming against Neumann on September 16. 

Landmark play will begin on September 26 when Catholic travels to Williamsport, Pa. to face off against Lycoming before wrapping up the non-conference slate on September 30 at home against Christopher Newport. The first home conference game will take place on October 3 at 4 pm against Moravian before back-to-back away conference matches against Goucher (Oct. 7) and Wilkes (Oct. 10). 

The Cardinals return to Carlini Field on October 14 to take on Elizabethtown before another road game at Drew on October 17. The team will then play their final two home games of the season against Susquehanna (Oct. 21) and Scranton (Oct. 24). The regular season concludes on October 28 for an away contest against Juniata to complete the nine-game conference slate.
