ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Catholic women's lacrosse team picked up their fifth Landmark victory on Wednesday evening after dominating Elizabethtown. The Cardinals were guided by
Lindsay Sawyer, who scored four goals in the 17-4 win over the Blue Jays.
Ella Scholes opened the scoring in the first quarter with an unassisted goal in favor of Elizabethtown. Sawyer responded for Catholic, scoring off a feed from
Annie Galarza to even the score at one. Megan Meyer added another for the Blue Jays, but
Maggie Traynor quickly found the equalizer.Â
Izzy Fiore capped the quarter with an unassisted goal, and the Cardinals led 3-2. For the rest of the game, Catholic would hold the lead over Elizabethtown.Â
The Cardinals scored six straight goals in the second quarter, starting with
Henley Bredemann, who netted her first goal less than 15 seconds in, followed by Sawyer's second. Bredemann added another, and Galarza followed within the same minute with her first of the game. Traynor and
Olivia Eikenberg each
 contributed a goal to close out the scoring run. Abby Bach scored one for Blue Jays' with a minute left in the half, but they trailed 9-3 against the Cardinals heading into break.
Catholic stayed alive in the third quarter, scoring six unanswered goals, beginning with a goal from
Brigid Brown, her second of the season. Sawyer, Traynor, and Bredemann all secured their hat tricks in the third, and Sawyer added a fourth to her total. Fiore capped the quarter with her second goal of the game, and the Cardinals led 15-3 as they entered the final quarter of play.
Both defenses held strong in the fourth, with no goals after nearly seven minutes of play. Galarza and
Allie Buonaccorsi then added two more to Catholic's tally, Buonaccorsi assisted by Sawyer. Hailey Meyer netted the final goal of the game for the Blue Jays, but the Cardinals had secured the victory, 17-4.Â
Sawyer led the charge with four goals and two assists for five points. Traynor followed with five points, logging three goals and two assists. Bredemann and Fiore finished with four apiece, Bredemann with a hat trick and an assist while Fiore had two goals and two assists.Â

livia Koch recorded the win, her first of the season. Koch notched nine saves while also scooping up two ground balls.
Grace Button had four ground balls on the day, as well as a caused turnover, while
Kelly Bunnick logged two ground balls.
With this win, Catholic improves their record to 7-5 overall and 5-0 in Landmark Conference play. Up next, they will host Scranton on Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m.
