KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Landmark Conference Player of the Year has added on to his list of accomplishments for the 2025-26 season. Senior point guard
CJ Ruoff was named to both the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District V First Team as well as the D3hoops.com All-Region V First Team.
Ruoff put together one of the most prolific scoring seasons in program history, finishing eighth in points per game (19.5) and seventh in total points (547) in DIII single-season program history. Ruoff also led the team in three-pointers made on the season with 68 while knocking his shots down at a 39 percent clip from deep. He also led the team and finished third in the Landmark in assists with 122 and 4.4 per game during the season.
Ruoff had 21 games this season where he scored 15 or more points, including 13 games where he had 20+ point outings. He also had a week where we scored 70 points over a two game stretch against Elizabethtown and Lycoming.
This is now the third consecutive season that the Cardinals have had a First Team All-Region selection for both NABC and D3hoops recognition. Jesse Hafemeister earned both honors in the 2023-24 season and
Sean Neylon also did so in the 2024-25 season.
For D3hoops all-region honors, Ruoff is the 12th player in program history and is the eighth player to earn a spot on the first team. He is the 10th player in program history to land a spot on the NABC first team.
