TOWSON, Md. - For the second straight week, Colton Manorek of the Catholic men's lacrosse team has been named Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week, it was announced today. This is Manorek's second career honor.

Catholic faced off against Bridgewater and Eastern this week, securing two wins to bring their overall record to 3-4 this season. Manorek led on the defensive end, improving his record in goal to 3-4.

Against Bridgewater, Manorek had eight saves and two ground balls, allowing only one goal in his 37 minutes of play. Manorek recorded seven saves against the Eagles of Eastern in 46 minutes of play and scooped up one ground ball in the 19-6 victory. 

Manorek logged 15 saves across the two games, and currently sits at sixth in the Landmark in saves per game, averaging 11.43. The sophomore from East Weymouth, Mass. has recorded 80 saves in his 2026 campaign, bringing his career total to 136.

The Cardinals will be back in action on Wednesday, March 18 against Mary Washington. The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Carlini Field.
