David Names Glosek and Ehrlich Coordinators For Catholic Football

| By:
WASHINGTON, D.C.  – The Catholic football program has officially hired two new coordinators to join Vincent and Ellen Sica Endowed Head Coach Kory David's staff for the 2026 season. The Cardinals welcome to their staff Shawn Glosek, who will be the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach, and Drew Ehrlich who will serve as the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach.

Both Glosek and Ehrlich come to the nation's capital with their last coaching stop being at Washington and Jefferson, both being part of a strong run for the Presidents over the past few seasons. Glosek returned to W&J after spending two seasons away from the program at Valdosta State and Ohio Northern and immediately turned the Presidents into one of the most prolific offenses in the country. In his first season as the play caller, Glosek's offense ranked ninth in passing offense (312.5), 10th in total offense (479.4), fifth in third down conversion percentage (0.555) and total first downs (295) in all of NCAA Division III en route to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the program's 27th Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship.

"I am extremely excited to be a part of The Catholic University of America," said Glosek. "I am looking forward to getting to work with our players and staff to help this program take the next step."

Glosek's offense continued to be a force in the 2025 season as well ranking ninth in the country in passing offense (327.5), ninth in the country in first downs (307), 12th in the country in total offense (480.1), 12th in the country in third down percentage (.514) and 14th in scoring offense (43.5). This culminated in an 8-3 season for the Presidents where they captured another PAC Title before falling to Susquehanna in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Glosek has made many different stops in his coaching career including Dickinson, Lehigh and his alma mater, Kutztown.

"Shawn is a proven leader and teacher of the game who understands how to build an offense around toughness, discipline, and execution," said head coach Kory David. "His energy, attention to detail, and ability to develop young men make him a tremendous fit for our program. We're excited to welcome Shawn to the District."

Ehrlich joins the Catholic staff after being a part of the Washington and Jefferson since August of 2023 after being a standout student-athlete for the Presidents during his time as a player. Erlich served as the defensive backs coach for W&J and helped a unit that was top 50 in the country in total defense during the 2025 season. Over his three seasons on the staff, the Presidents amassed a 26-7 record while the defense allowed just 17.2 points per game with Erlich's assistance on the defense.

"I'm extremely grateful to Coach David and Catholic University for this opportunity," said Ehrlich. I am excited to be back around the District, and I can't wait to get to work with the players and staff to build this next chapter at Catholic football!"

As a player, Ehrlich collected First Team All-PAC status in each of his three seasons. He racked up 137 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, 16 passes defended and five interceptions over the course of 26 career games. A menace on special teams, Ehrlich blocked five kicks, forced a pair of fumbles and recovered four fumbles during this career. Ehrlich was recognized on the D3football.com All-Region 2 Second Team and All-ECAC Second Team as a senior in 2022. He was a two-time PAC Defensive Player of the Week and earned D3football.com Team of the Week honors twice during his career.

"Drew is a tremendous addition to our staff and someone who brings great energy, intelligence, and passion to the defensive side of the ball," said David. "He has a strong understanding of defensive structure and secondary play, and he's a coach who will demand discipline, accountability, and relentless effort from our players. Drew is committed to developing young men both on and off the field, and we're excited about the leadership he will bring to our defense as we continue to raise the standard at Catholic University."
