WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Catholic women's basketball team took on the Rebecca Martin Classic host, McDaniel, to close out the tournament. After 24 lead changes, the Cardinals fell 62-60 against the Green Terror.

The Green Terror opened the game with a layup to put themselves on the board first. Lauren Kraft took the zero off of Catholic's side with a made foul shot during her team's next possession. McDaniel went to go on a 10-4 run, increasing the lead. Kraft and Allie Falesto each made a layup and Sofia Travieso sank two from the charity stripe to close the gap. After the first ten minutes, McDaniel led 12-11.

McKenna Karlson gave Catholic its first lead of the game with a layup to start the second quarter. Falesto drove in another two-point bucket to bring the Catholic lead 15-12. McDaniel's Lauren Cavoli made five points, a jumper and three foul shots, to pull her team ahead 22-21 at the break.

The lead changed hands seven times in the third quarter. Catholic pulled ahead to start the half, thanks to a layup from Kraft. Falesto led the team with seven points in the third, two layups and a three pointer.

About three minutes into the fourth, Karlson's layup gave the Cardinals their biggest lead of the game, 12 points, 52-40. The Green Terror slowly started to chop down the Catholic lead.

With 59 seconds left in the game, it was tied 58 points across the board. Karlson battled around her defender to drive in a layup. After a series of missed shots and collected rebounds, McDaniel's Teya McConnaha was fouled and earned a trip to the line with 18.4 seconds left. McConnaha made both of her free throws to tie the game at 60 apiece. With 8.4 seconds on the clock, McDaniel once again earned a trip to the foul line.
