Bors Promoted to Associate Head Coach

| By:
WASHINGTON - Entering his fourth season on the Catholic men's basketball coaching staff, Jack Bors has been named the program's Associate Head Coach, Aaron Kelly announced this week.

"Our team's recent success is due, in large part, to the effort coach Bors has poured into our program during his time with us," said Kelly. "Jack is quite literally involved in every coaching, teaching, and recruiting decision I make at Catholic. He is an elite evaluator of talent and character, an outstanding teacher of the game, and most importantly, an ideal mentor for our student athletes. Jack is beyond prepared to run his own program, so I feel incredibly grateful to have him back with us for another season."

During Bors three years on staff, Catholic has posted a record of 72-14, winning a Landmark Conference Championship and making two trips to the NCAA Tournament. In 2024-25, Bors helped lead the Cardinals to the Elite Eight for the third time in program history and the first since 2001. On the magical run, Catholic defeated host Franklin & Marshall before knocking off a pair of ranked foes in #6 Randolph-Macon and #20 Roanoke.

In 2023-24, the Cardinals won their first Landmark title in almost a decade, earned the right to host the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament and won a thriller against Worcester State before falling in the Second Round.

Catholic has won at least 22 games in all three seasons and has had a player selected to the NABC All-America in two of the three seasons.
