TOWSON, Md. - Catholic men's basketball graduate
Sean Neylon was named as one of four finalists for the Landmark Conference's Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. Neylon, the conference's men's basketball Senior Scholar-Athlete, will be up for the overall award which recognizes exceptional achievement in academics, athletics, leadership, and community service during their collegiate career.
Neylon, a Wilmington, Del. native, recently graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, sporting a 3.64 GPA. The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America selection completed his collegiate career in the winter, helping lead the Cardinals to the Elite Eight for the first time in 24 years.
The Landmark Conference Player of the Year, Neylon received national recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as a Third Team All-American, making him the sixth player in program history to earn the honor. He finished third in program history in threes made (92) and ninth in three-point percentage (46.0) in program history, while reaching 1,000 points and moving into a tie for fifth all-time in three-pointers made for his career.
Neylon joins David Hoyt (Drew - Men's Soccer), Daniel Myers (Elizabethtown - Track & Field), and Joey Woodrow (Juniata - Baseball) as the finalists.
