GENEVA, Ohio — The Catholic track and field team had two athletes compete on the second day of the NCAA Championships on Friday,
Jevontae Fearwell and
Emily Moehringer.
Fearwell qualified for the finals in the 100m by coming in sixth-place in the preliminary out of 22 runners on Friday afternoon. Farewell clocked in at 10.56 to earn himself a spot in the finals tomorrow in his first career race at the outdoor NCAA Championships.
Moehringer competed in her second event of the weekend after running in the 1500m last night with the 800m on Friday. Moehringer finished in 16th in the preliminary, clocking in at 2:14.83 to finish just outside of the top 15.
The Cardinals are back in action tomorrow when Moehringer competes in the 1500m final at 1:35 pm.
