BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Catholic women's tennis completed the Landmark Conference regular season on Saturday, falling 7-0 to Moravian.
Saturday's match was a reschedule from earlier in the season and was played indoors at Timothy Breidegam Field House.
Moravian took the doubles point, sweeping all three matches with
Ella Knox and
Ava Niggemeier showing well at No. 3 doubles, but ultimately succumbing to the Greyhounds.
Mairead O'Hara fought hard, losing in an absolute battle at No. 3 singles, dropping the third set tiebreak after fighting off three match points. O'Hara won the second set 6-3 after dropping the first set 6-4. She lost 10-8 in the tiebreak.
Meaghan Laniewski fell 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Niggemeier responded with a tight second set after dropping set one 6-0.
Catholic finished 6-3 in conference play, earning the four seed in the conference tournament. It will host Drew at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
