Paige Brightwell was honored on Senior Day as Catholic women's tennis went wall-to-wall, defeating Wilkes 7-0 for its fifth conference win of the season.
Catholic allowed just four games in the doubles session, taking the point easily to jump ahead 1-0.
Ella Knox and
Ava Niggemeier won 6-1 at No. 3 doubles, finishing just before
Shloka Tambat and
Mairead O'Hara won 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.
Meaghan Laniewski and Brightwell picked up the win at No. 2 doubles, 6-3.
Laniewski was the first to finish in singles play, winning at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1. Knox came next, also winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Tambat made it three straight 6-1, 6-1 victories, closing out the win at No. 1 singles to clinch the match.
Samantha D'Addezio entered the lineup for singles play, winning 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 while Niggemeier made it a 4-0 week, winning 6-3, 6-3 at No, 5 singles. O'Hara finished off the match with a 6-3, 6-2 victory for Catholic.
In a reschedule from earlier this week, Catholic will host Goucher on Tuesday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.
