Fiore Scores Seven in 11-Goal Catholic Victory at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Izzy Fiore scored seven goals, becoming the first Cardinal to accomplish the feat in three years, to guide Catholic to an 18-7 road victory at Moravian. The Cardinals improve to 5-1 in Landmark Conference play.

Fiore scored six first-half goals, helping to build an 11-3 halftime lead for the Cardinals. Fiore assisted on or scored seven of the team's first 11 goals of the contest. Her assist to Lindsay Sawyer put Catholic ahead 1-0 less than four minutes into the game before she scored at the 10:40 mark to make it 2-0. Jessie Lee scored a woman-up goal with 9:34 on the first quarter clock to push the lead to three before Moravian got on the board. Fiore made it 4-1 before Maggie Traynor scored off a Lee feed to make it a 5-1 contest at the end of the first.

Fiore scored the first two goals of the second, getting assists from Traynor and Caroline Regan before a Sawyer woman-down goal with 11:08 made it 8-1. Regan once again assisted Fiore as Catholic's ninth goal was sandwiched around the second and third of the day for Moravian. Regan found the back of the net with 2:38 as Maddie McDevitt picked up the assist before Fiore scored the final goal of the half with 45 seconds left.

Regan's third assist of the day found Lee for a goal just 17 seconds into the second half before McDevitt made Catholic's lead 10 with 9:27 in the quarter. Jackie Salvatore made it a hat trick for the Greyhounds to pull back within nine, followed by a Madi Dippel goal, making it 13-5 after three quarters.

The Cardinals scored the first three goals of the fourth, starting with Fiore while Annie Galarza and Lee followed to make it 16-5. Moravian pushed two goals closer before Sawyer and Madeline Kelly finished it off with goals for Catholic.

Henley Bredemann (7) and Caroline Gaines (6) combined for 13 draw controls in the win while Gaines, Fiore, and Olivia Daniels each caused two turnovers. Lee picked up a team-high three ground balls.

Alexandra Ragano and Jamie Handwerger split the contest with Ragano making two saves in the first half and Handwerger making five in the second half.
