TOWSON, Md. -
Kate Inglis ran a personal best time in the 1,500, jumping up to fifth on Catholic's all-time outdoor performance list to lead a number of personal best times on Friday at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
Inglis crossed the finish line in 4:41.21 to finish third in the 1,500, improving on her previous best time by more than two seconds. Inglis jumps into fifth on the all-time list, passing Laura Kinley's 2013 time.
Three other women moved up, or moved onto, the all-time performance lists for Catholic with freshman
Kortney Clipper taking over seventh all-time in the 200. Clipper finished 30th in a strong field with a time of 26.51 to lead a strong group of Catholic sprinters.
Brigid Byrnes (26.52),
Erin Buckley (27.01), and
Sarah Schumacher (27.02) all had strong times and join Clipper as four of the five current Catholic athletes that hold spots in the top seven on Catholic's list.
In field events,
Kate Quashne and
Alicia Vo moved onto the all-time lists with Quashne taking the ninth spot in the triple jump with a 9.76-meter leap and Vo tying for 10th in the high jump with a 1.45-meter jump.
2024 NCAA Qualifier
Clare Marsh ran in the 400 hurdles for the first time this season, finishing seventh with a time of 1:04.44.
Sam Compton and
Romell Randolph ran strong times in the 200, finishing 11th and 13th respectively with times of 22.67 and 22.76.
Catholic is right back in action at the event tomorrow afternoon.
