A Look into Landmark Competition

Catholic will play a full home-and-away Landmark schedule in the 2025-56 season, opening conference play at home against Goucher on Wednesday, November 19th at 5 p.m. The Cardinals are 33-2 against the Gophers in series history and are 10-0 in their last 10 meetings. Catholic will face off against three other conference opponents before the end of 2025, including Lycoming on the road and Juniata and Wilkes at home.

Conference action resumes in 2026 with a road match up against Moravian followed by a home contest against Drew. The Cardinals will also visit Susquehanna on Wednesday, January 14 at 5 p.m. for their first match up of the season.

A championship rematch awaits between the Cardinals and Landmark foe Scranton on January 17 on the road at the John Long Center. Catholic went 0-3 against Scranton last season, falling in hard fought battles in both regular season and postseason play. The Royals were predicted to finish first in the Landmark Preseason Poll after taking home the championship and reaching the NCAA Tournament Elite 8 where they fell to University of Wisconsin-Stout. The two teams will close out the regular season on Franny Murray Court on Saturday, February 21, at 4 p.m.

Catholic looks to build on last season's success over Elizabethtown who are predicted to finish fourth in the preseason poll. The Cardinals went 2-1 over the Blue Jays last season, bouncing back from a four-point loss in their home opener by taking them down on the road and in the conference semifinals. Elizabethtown earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, falling to Randolph-Macon in the second round.
