Bella Reyes and
Maddie Pennisi of the Catholic field hockey team were named to the 2025 Landmark Second Team All-Conference, it was announced today. The honor marks the first All-Conference recognition for both Reyes and Pennisi.
Reyes led Catholic offensively in her junior campaign, leading the team in goals and tying for first in assists with teammate Lauren Keast. The Catonsville, Md. tallied four goals and three assists for a team-high 11 points finding the back of the cage against Randolph-Macon, Lycoming, Susquehanna and Scranton. She recorded 13 shots, eight of which were on target, putting her at the top of the leaderboard with a shot on goal percentage of 0.615. Reyes also recorded 909 minutes, the third-most of the Catholic crew for the 2025 season.
On the defensive end, Pennisi made a huge impact during her freshman season for the Cardinals, despite missing a few matches due to injury. The rookie defender recorded 540 minutes of play and notched a crucial defensive save against Scranton and contributed to the Cardinals' shutout win over Juniata. Pennisi also picked up an assist on Reyes' senior day goal against the Royals.
Reyes and Pennisi join a select group of just 19 other players who have been selected for the Second Team All-Conference, including teammate Mary Rojack who earned the same honor in the 2024 season.
