TOWSON, Md.  — Sophomore goalkeeper Ella Bowman was named the Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career. Bowman collected 8 saves, 2 of which were on penalty strokes. 

Catholic currently leads the conference in saves at 70, 69 of which are credited to Bowman. 

Bowman made her first of two penalty stroke saves in the first quarter, keeping Moravian from scoring an early second goal. Her second stroke save occurred early in the second quarter, diving to keep the Greyhounds at one goal. 

In the first few minutes of overtime, Bowman collected a save to keep the Cardinals in the game during the sudden-death overtime. The Cardinals went on to collect their first win of the season 2-1 against Moravian.
