Glassboro, N.J. – The men's cross country team traveled to Glassboro, N.J. to compete in the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan.
Senior
Joe Wolfe was the fastest Cardinal in today's Men's 8k DIII Champ race. His personal-best finish of 25:40.0 gave him 40th place out of 327 runners. With this time, Wolfe remains as the fourth best 8k runner in Catholic program history, a title that he earned at the Lehigh Paul Short Run on October 3rd. Wolfe's time marks him with the fourth fastest performance in Catholic history as well.
Freshman
Michael Brunet was the next finisher for Catholic with a time of 26:06.8. Today's race was his first collegiate 8k.
Joey Locke and
Tim Sweeny followed close behind with times 26:23.6 and 26:35.4. Junior Locke's time is a new personal best in the 8k. Freshman Sweeny also collected a personal best time in the event, shaving off 19.2 seconds from his previous time.
Sophomore
Shane Waring also set a personal best of time 28:16.6 in today's 8k DIII Champ race.
Overall, the Catholic men placed 13th out of 35 teams at the Inter-Regional Border Battle with a total of 426 points.
