Numerous Records Broken, Personal Bests Set on Day Two at Bison Outdoor Classic

| By:
LEWISBURG, Pa. - A slew of Catholic women's outdoor personal bests were set on Sunday while a pair of program records were reset on a tremendous day for the Cardinals at the Bison Outdoor Classic.

The 4x100 relay program record was broken once again this season as Erin Buckley, Sarah Schumacher, Felicity Giampietro, and Megan Burns combined to reset the mark with a time of 49.84 seconds. The group placed 18th in an extremely impressive field as they edged past the time of 49.97 set at the Fred Hardy Invitational.

Buckley made it two records in one day as she snuck past her own program record in the 100, crossing the finish line in 12.65 seconds to finish 51st in a stacked field. Giampietro also moved up the all-time list, taking over third place as she ran a new PR time of 12.78 to place 61st in the event. Giampietro is now third all-time in the 200 after clocking a time of 26.63 in the event today.

Emily Moehringer flew to a new personal best time of 2:12.03 in the 800, placing 18th overall and inching ever closer to Carolyn Hughes' program record time of 2:10.24 set back in 1982. Moehringer's time is fourth in Landmark history and is currently 12th in Division III. The junior also competed in the 400, running a time of 1:01.17.

Running alongside Moehringer in the 800, Apolline Gaspers improved upon her previous best time, clocking a new PR of 2:17.59 in the 800 to remain in third on the Catholic all-time list. Also running the 400, Zoey Brown and Sabrina Beniquez moved up the Catholic all-time list, now ranking seventh and 10th in the event with respective times of 1:00.47 and 1:00.96.

Brigid Byrnes grabbed the second spot in Catholic program history in both the 100 hurdles and the 400 hurdles with times of 15.52 and 1:04.97. Clare Marsh still holds the record in both events and edged past Burns in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:04.30 this afternoon. Marsh currently sits 20th in Division III this season. Mia McConnell set personal bests in both events, clocking a time of 16.78 in the 100 hurdles and sitting third all-time in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:06.52.

Catholic will compete at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Saturday in Baltimore.
