<p dir="ltr"><strong>WEST CHESTER, Pa. —</strong> The Catholic University women's track and field team returned to action at the Bill Butler Invitational on Saturday with a full slate of athletes contributing to a top-10 team finish.<br />
<br />
The Cardinals captured three top-20 finishes in the 800-meter run. <strong>
Alexa Grassi </strong>took home sixth with a time of 2:27.33 to lead the trio. <strong>
Mia LaMarra </strong>came in a few seconds later to finish 11th with an outdoor personal-best time of 2:30.55. <strong>
Ava Perlov</strong> rounded out the group, finishing in 2:34.78 to slide into 17th place while LaMarra also placed 13th in the 400m with a time of 1:04.90.<br />

A cluster of Cardinals finished the 1500-meter under 5:16.00. <strong>
Stella Noecker</strong> led the pack with a ninth-place finish and a personal-best time of 5:08.36, the second-fastest by a Cardinal this season. Perlov (5:12.19) finished 11th, bettering her time at the Fred Hardy Invitational by more than 10 seconds. <strong>
Sadie Abood</strong> (5:14.00) followed in 12th and <strong>
Laurel McMahon</strong> (5:15.91) took 14th. <br />

Edith Tomasek</strong> had a strong showing in the 100-meter hurdles, placing third with a time of 16.80 to move into fifth all-time on the Catholic performance list in the event.<br />

Courtney Cutting</strong> also shined with a mark of 1.50m and a fourth-place finish in the high jump. Cutting's mark matched her own personal best and tied two other competitors in the field, but she was beaten out via tiebreak.  <br />

The long jump saw two Cardinals finish within the top 10 as Cutting snagged sixth and <strong>
Erin Driscoll </strong>grabbed 10th. Cutting recorded a new personal-best mark of 4.84 meters while Driscoll 4.79m.<br />

Alicia Vo</strong>, <strong>
Alyssa Oscar </strong>and Tomasek all competed in the triple jump and all three now sit in the top 10 in Catholic's outdoor history. Vo led the way with a 10.06-meter jump, just falling below her personal best jump of 10.09 meters. Oscar set a new PR with a 9.99-meter jump to place sixth and move into a tie for fourth on the all-time performance list. Finally, Tomasek's jump of 9.60 meters is good for ninth on the performance list.<br />

In the shot put, <strong>
Ciara Donegan</strong> placed third with a mark of 11.91 meters while <strong>
Bridget Brady</strong> finished 11th with a 9.25-meter toss. Donegan also placed fifth in the discus with a 30.89-meter mark. <br />

Apolline Gaspers</strong> was the lone Cardinal to travel to the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday. She made the solo trip worth it with an impressive run in the 1500m. The junior smashed her previous personal best by nearly seven full seconds, clocking in at 4:43.52 to place 56th in a strong field.<br />

This marks the end of the single-day Bill Butler Invitational but a handful of Cardinals will be back in action tomorrow in Lewisburg for day two of the Bison Outdoor Classic.</p>
