WASHINGTON, D.C. - For the first time in the 2024-25 season, Catholic men's basketball finds itself in the d3hoops.com top 25. The Cardinals are ranked 24th as they find themselves as one of four teams to enter the poll this week.
Prior to this week's finals break, Catholic has posted a record of 7-1 with its lone loss coming to 23rd-ranked Stockton by three points. The Cardinals have won six straight and are 4-0 to start Landmark Conference play.
Thus far in 2024, Catholic is scoring 77.6 points per contest while outscoring its opponents by 10.8 points.
Aaron Kelly's team has been extremely efficient from the floor, shooting nearly 50 percent on field goals and over 41 percent from three-point range.
The Cardinals have been led by senior
Sean Neylon who is averaging 19.0 points per game while ranking in the top-six nationally in three-pointers per game (4.13), three-pointers made (33), and three-point percentage (55.0).
Brian Herbert is also scoring at a career-high clip, averaging 14.6 points per game while pulling in more than five rebounds per contest.
Jamie Ntiamoah has been strong on the boards and on the defensive end, grabbing a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game and nabbing a team-best 21 steals while also contributing nearly 10 points per contest.
Catholic returns to action on December 18 in a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament Second Round contest as they host Rowan in the Tom McKavitt Classic.
