EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. - Catholic's 13-game regular-season win streak came to an end on Saturday as it fell 2-1 at Wilkes.
Niki Micciche drew the Cardinals even after falling down 1-0 in the second quarter, but a Bridget Rosenfeld goal early in the third pushed Wilkes (3-14, 1-7) past Catholic (9-8, 7-1).
Micciche's goal was her ninth of the season and the 37th of her career as she moved into a tie for fifth in program history.
Caroline Caputo picked up an assist for the second game in-a-row on the Micciche finish.
Olivia Gayoski scored the first goal of the contest, just over 19 minutes in. Morgan Hermanofski picked up the assist on the goal that gave the Colonels the lead.
Catholic held an 18-11 advantage in shots and a 10-7 in shots on target.
Ella Bowman made five saves in the losing effort while Olivia Wickel made seven stops in the victory.
Catholic finishes the regular season on Tuesday at Susquehanna.
