Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Catholic University men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with the Shoremen of Washington College on Tuesday night.
Senior goalkeeper Troy Young made five saves to earn the clean sheet, including the first save of the match to deny the Shoremen from going ahead in the 10th minute.
The Cardinals did not allow a shot on target for the final 38 minutes and put the final three efforts of the contest on the Washington College goal, but Shoremen goalkeeper Cole White was equal to the tests.
Sophomore center back Owen Maher played 90 minutes and led the team with two shots on target. Defenders Maximilian Penczar and Andrew Lowman also played the full match and contributed to the clean sheet.
Following this final non-conference tilt, the Cardinals will turn their attention back to Landmark Conference play. They will travel to Selinsgrove, Pa., to face the River Hawks on Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
