Box Score CAMDEN, N.J. - Catholic University men's soccer junior Darius Siahpoosh scored two goals, but two goals in 4:03 led Rutgers-Camden to a 3-2 victory Saturday in the Cialella Soccer Classic.
The Cardinals (2-1) lost for just the third time in the last 10 games on the road dating back to 2019.
Siahpoosh gave Catholic the lead in the 26th minute off an assist from senior Paul Egan, before the Scarlet Raptors tied the game at 1-1 in the 34th minute.
Rutgers-Camden (3-0-1), who were 13-5-3 in 2019, outshot the Cardinals 10-4 in the opening half with junior Troy Young making three saves to keep the game tied.
Neither team could find the go-ahead goal until the 52nd minute when Quincy Attobrah scored the first of his two goals off a throw in.
Attobrah would net what proved to be the game-winner just over four minutes later when he scored off another throw in to put Rutgers-Camden in front, 3-1.
Siahpoosh would add his second tally in the 63rd minute for the third multi-goal game of his career. However, that would be as close as Catholic could get as Scarlet Raptor keeper Connor Smith had four second-half saves.
Saturday marked the first meeting between the two teams since 2011.
Young finished with three saves before giving way to junior Austin Coron who played the final 29:24.
Catholic faces Stockton on Sunday in the first meeting against the Ospreys since 2005. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
