Box Score MANHEIM, Pa. - The Catholic University field hockey team faced No. 8 Franklin & Marshall College for the first time since 2004, dropping the match 2-0 on Wednesday at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex, home of the U.S.A field hockey team.
After a scoreless three quarters, the Diplomats put themselves on the board in the fourth quarter with an unassisted goal at 46:58, and again at 51:07 to bring the final score to 2-0.
Junior midfielder Grace Olson made one shot on goal while sophomore goalie Maysen Elliott made two saves for the Cardinals.
Catholic will travel to Susquehanna University (4-8) this Saturday, Oct. 12 to take on the River Hawks in a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 1 p.m.
