Box Score Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Catholic University of America men's soccer team fell to No. 8 Kenyon, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals and the nationally ranked Lords, traveled to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the match at Carnegie Mellon University.
Catholic held No.8 Kenyon for most of the first half as the Lords notched their first goal in the 39th minute. After the intermission, Kenyon placed a header into the far right post at the 52:24-minute mark and secured the 3-0 victory with another goal in the 65th minute.
The Cardinals took six shots throughout the 90-minute match and held the nationally ranked Lords to just 10. Sophomore Tyler Martin led the Catholic offensive efforts with four shots. Senior Zachery Tashjy recorded three saves in then net for the Cards.
Catholic will return to Carnegie Mellon on Sunday, Sept. 11, to take on the Tartens at 5:30 p.m.
